Anne R. Chamberlain

Anne Chamberlain has been in the field of organizational development since 1990. As an independent consultant and coach in the areas of leadership and organizational development, she is a big picture thinker who thrives on the challenge of uncovering and understanding the uniqueness of organizations and individuals. Over the course of her career, Anne has worked closely with a wide variety of clients including Walt Disney World, Sara Lee, Crate & Barrel, GE, Coca-Cola, Shell Oil, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mattel, Luck Stone, Virginia Department of Transportation, Harvard Executive Education, Bank One and the McGraw-Hill Companies. She has also coached a diverse pool of individuals through organizational, career and life transitions.

Prior to launching her consulting practice, Anne held a position with Play, a leading business innovation consulting firm focused on developing creative and strategically sound solutions to their clients’ business objectives. As a member of the lead consulting group at Play, Anne was responsible for managing client relationships as well as designing and leading collaborative processes for clients seeking new ideas in the areas of strategy, brand, product innovation, leadership and organizational culture.

Before joining the team at Play, Anne was an independent consultant, facilitator and executive coach serving national and international organizations. She also held the position of Director of Design and Development at Falls River Center, a consulting firm in Charlottesville, VA serving the needs of clients from a wide variety of industries including the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Anne was one of the primary designers and facilitators of customized experiential programs that centered on leadership, management and group development for corporate groups and executive teams. While with the firm, she managed a large pool of Falls River’s subcontracted consultants around North America and abroad.

Anne’s prior professional experience also includes work as a consultant and trainer with the Division of Organizational Development and Training at the University of Virginia where she was certified as a Trainer of Trainers. She is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and is experienced in using the Center for Creative Leadership’s KEYS assessment as well as Appreciative Inquiry and Open Space Technology approaches with her clients. Anne was a founding member of the Experiential Training & Development Alliance and has served on the board of the local chapter of ASTD (American Society for Training and Development). Receiving her B.A. in Communications at the University of Virginia, Anne’s graduate work is in Organizational Behavior.
